Gameplay

What kind of game is this?
It's an immersive, interactive party game where players work together as detectives in Gotham City. The game uses both a shared TV screen (showing the crime scene, suspects, and case progress) and players' own devices (used as detective tools for scanning evidence, assembling puzzles, interrogating suspects, and more). Communication, teamwork, and deduction are key.
What is Adventure Mode?
Adventure Mode is the story-driven campaign featuring 11 episodes. Each episode presents a unique crime to investigate — from stolen artifacts to poisoned water supplies to a conspiracy within the GCPD. Players progress through cases, completing investigation minigames to gather clues and eliminate suspects until they can make a final accusation. Most episodes unlock after completing the Prologue, with the final episode requiring all previous cases played or a certain star threshold.
What is Quickplay?
Quickplay lets you jump into individual minigames outside of the story progression. All 11 minigames are selectable individually without the narrative wrapper — perfect for quick sessions or replaying your favorite investigations.
Can I adjust the difficulty?
The game features escalating difficulty across its 11 episodes — earlier cases start with simpler minigame variants and fewer challenges, while later episodes introduce harder variants with tighter time limits, more complex mechanics, and increased intensity. A Battle Tutorial toggle is also available in Settings > Learning Aids.
Is every playthrough the same?
No. The game is designed for high replayability. Each case has multiple paths to completion, varied clue combinations, different puzzle mechanics within minigames, and various villains — ensuring cases can be replayed multiple times without feeling repetitive.
What types of minigames are in the game?
The game includes 11 investigation minigames, from visual puzzle assembly and voice-activated interrogations to surveillance review and high-pressure bomb defusal, each offering different types of clues and experiences.
